Upskill with the website workshops. Explore essential website terminology and processes that apply to all websites on the internet. Find out what SEO is, why it's considered so important, and how you can do it yourself. Discover what you need to know about websites as you make an easy-to-use, responsive, free website in class. Our small class size means we will have time to answer your questions.
Topics include: domains and hosting, navigation, copyright, website security, alt text, SEO, html/CSS/code editing, text, images, hyperlinks, forms, web design, responsive design, metadata, publicity and promotions, web testing, image editing, and internet resources.
Try Before You Buy!
Spend some time exploring website design in a safe learning environment. Try out processes as you make your own online website. You may like to complete your website by the end of the workshops or use it as a memory tool before starting your 'real' website.
Practice website design with sample text and images or bring along your own text and images. If you already have a website you can work on that during the workshop sessions (bring along your passwords).
Website Workshops: 5 sessions of 2.5 hours, 6pm-8:30pm at CEW (Kamo High School, Whangarei). Available each school term.
